I can't stop thinking about the community impact of Brett Allen's tragic death. It's really brought people together in a heartbreaking way, but it also highlights some ongoing issues. Has anyone else noticed how Fairbanks seems to be grappling with a rise in gun-related violence over the past few years? Brett's case is just one part of a much larger problem. It’s distressing to think that this young man's life ended because of an altercation that should never have escalated to gunfire. I'm really curious to hear what everyone thinks about local measures being taken to address this issue. Are there any community programs or initiatives in Fairbanks that are aiming to treat the root causes of such violence?
