In the quiet setting of Anchorage, Alaska, a young boy named Da'Shawn Leon McCormick, at the tender age of four, vanished from sight. He was last definitively seen on July 4, 2012. Da'Shawn is a biracial male with blond hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as being 3'6" tall and weighing 45 pounds, with a distinctive U-shaped scar in the center of his forehead and a burn scar on his left thigh. Da'Shawn was living with his father, Floyd Leroy Lee Jr., and his stepmother, Mary Elizabeth Transki, in Anchorage. The case of Da'Shawn McCormick remains an open and unsolved investigation, classified as an endangered missing person case. Both his father and stepmother were convicted and sentenced to prison for the fraud charges and have since been released. Despite the passage of time, law enforcement agencies, including the Anchorage Police Department and the FBI, continue to seek new leads. His mother holds onto the hope that her son may have been given to another family before his father's arrest. There is speculation that he could be in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough area.
