Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the response time of the authorities in the tragic incident in Nightmute. It took until the next day for the Alaska State Troopers to arrive, and I can't help but wonder if things could or should have been handled more swiftly. I understand Nightmute is pretty remote, and that can complicate things. But it makes me worry about how emergencies in these small communities are addressed and what can be done to improve response times in the future. My heart goes out to Joseph’s family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. It's got to be tough knowing any kind of help or closure took a while to even begin. Sending strength to all those affected.
