Wow, with everything that's been going on with Roderick Latham's case, I can't stop thinking about how strange it is for him to end up near Rat Trap Pass. I've done a bit of amateur hiking in that area, and I can tell you, it's not somewhere you just happen to find yourself by accident, especially not in the middle of the night.
Does anyone else wonder how he managed to get so far out there? It’s pretty rugged and remote—it’s not like it’s easy to get lost and just wind up there, especially since he isn’t used to driving. I’ve seen people suggesting all sorts of reasons, but I can’t help but wonder if he might have been trying to revisit a place from long ago or if there's something in that area connected to a memory. I hope they can eventually find some clues to unravel this mystery. Keep sharing any info you might have!
Has anyone been following the Roderick Latham case? I’m perplexed by the discovery location of his truck near Rat Trap Pass in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Given his health conditions and the fact he doesn’t normally drive, what would compel him to navigate such a challenging and remote area at 1:30 a.m.? It just seems like such an odd place for someone with dementia to end up. Could he have been following an old memory or is it possible he might have been trying to reach someone or somewhere familiar from his past? I'm curious if anyone has insights into his history or known places he used to frequent. The setting seems significant somehow, but maybe it’s just a coincidence. Hoping for some more information from the ongoing search efforts. ?️‍♂️
