I’ve been following Brandon Wilson’s tragic case, and I keep wondering about the impact of the ShotSpotter technology. It’s incredible how quickly the police were alerted and able to respond to the scene. I’m grateful for any tool that might help prevent these tragedies from getting worse, but it also makes me think about what more can be done to prevent the violence in the first place. My heart goes out to Brandon’s family and friends. It must be so hard for them to cope with this loss. I hope the community can come together and support them while also working to figure out effective ways to address and reduce gun violence. Maybe the technology that got officers there so quickly can be part of the solution in terms of gathering data or increasing community awareness? Anyone have more insights on what can be done or how ShotSpotter has affected other cases?
