I've been reading about the tragic situation that unfolded at the Citgo gas station in Bessemer. It's such an overwhelming loss for the families involved. My thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this unimaginable pain. I wanted to touch on a detail that strikes a chord with me: Wesley Fowler Jr.'s recent career change. He had just sold his first house—an incredible milestone for anyone, and one that speaks to new beginnings and hopes. It's heartbreaking to think that he was on the verge of a new chapter, having worked so hard to transition into real estate. His family must've been so proud of him, and it's such an unfair reality that this success was abruptly taken away. From everything I've read, it seems like he was in the wrong place at the worst possible time. If there's anything positive that can come out of this tragedy, I hope it's a push for meaningful change in addressing the gun violence that's disrupting too many lives and communities. Sending strength and love to everyone touched by this senseless act.
