Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Chaveda Arreaiia Willis and Markiezia Deactrius Atkins, and I recently attended the vigil that was held for Woodie. It was a powerful experience seeing everyone come together to honor her memory. The stories shared by her friends and family truly painted a picture of just how special she was. You could really feel the love in the air and the deep sense of loss the community is feeling. It’s just devastating to think that such a kind and vibrant person could be taken away in this manner. The whole community is still reeling from this, and it just reminds us how much work there is to be done in addressing the violence in our city. I really hope justice will be served for Woodie and Markiezia, and that their families find some sort of peace during this difficult time. Sending thoughts of strength and support to all who knew and loved them. Let's continue supporting each other in any way we can.

I've been following this tragedy closely, and one aspect of it that really caught my attention was the second shooting outside the hospital. It's utterly terrifying to think about—the emergency room, of all places, should be a sanctuary where people are safe from further harm. How on earth did the shooters manage to target the victims again in such a high-security, high-traffic area? This is deeply concerning and raises questions about hospital security protocols and what measures need to be put in place to prevent something like this from happening again. My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of Chaveda and Markiezia; I can't imagine the pain they must be going through. Let's hope the community and law enforcement come together to find those responsible and bring them to justice. It's vital for the city to address these ongoing issues with gun violence.

Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic events in Birmingham and wanted to share a bit about Chaveda "Woodie" Willis. Hearing that she went by "Woodie" or "Woo" tells us how she truly touched the lives of those around her. She was not only a devoted mother but also a U.S. Army veteran and postal worker—a woman who took on multiple roles with dedication and strength. It's so upsetting to think about how she and Markiezia Atkins were caught up in something that took them away from their loved ones far too soon. The fact that they were simply enjoying a night out and ended up as victims of a senseless act is deeply troubling. I also think a lot about how her children are impacted by this. Losing a parent at such a young age is incredibly traumatic, and it adds another layer of urgency to find justice for Woodie, Markiezia, and all others hurt in this. I'm hopeful that the authorities will catch whoever is responsible and that the community can come together to prevent such atrocities from happening again. If you have any thoughts or info, let's discuss here—sometimes even the smallest detail can provide a much-needed breakthrough. Stay safe, everyone. ?
