Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the tragic case of Evander Lewis Williams. It's so unsettling to hear that initially this was thought to be a suicide, and then it turned out to be something much more sinister. I can't imagine the shock and pain his family must be going through, knowing now it was a homicide. What’s really been on my mind is the role of the community in all this. I’ve noticed several folks saying that there needs to be better cooperation between residents and law enforcement. And honestly, I couldn’t agree more. It’s heartbreaking to see this kind of violence consuming our communities, and we really need everyone to step up—not just the police but every single one of us. We all play a part in keeping our neighborhoods safe. If anyone on here is from the Birmingham area, have you noticed any changes or movements towards better community engagement since this incident? Are there local groups doing anything to try to improve police-resident relations or efforts towards community safety? It would be great to hear if there’s been any positive developments!
