Has anyone else looked into Patrick Watson Jr.'s background? From what I've been able to gather, he was a longtime resident of Muscoda in Bessemer and seemed to be well-loved by his community. It's such a bitter pill to swallow knowing that someone who was a staple in his neighborhood could be taken so violently. A friend of mine attended the Celebration of Life for Patrick, and she shared how deeply moving it was. There were so many people there, from family to community members, and it was clear that Patrick really touched a lot of lives. It's unsettling to think that a lack of conflict resolution led to such a devastating outcome. Has there been any discussion on how Birmingham is addressing these kinds of violence-related issues? This happening in our city makes me wonder what preventative measures are being taken. It's clear that losing someone like Patrick leaves a void that's hard to fill for those left behind.
