I’ve been following the case of Kendall Shack and Ivey Carter Wilson III and can't get over how young they were. It’s just so tragic to think about the potential directions their lives could have taken. What really hits me is that they were found together—two friends with their futures ahead of them, cut short in such a brutal way. It must be incredibly difficult for their families and friends to have no answers yet. I read that the violence in Birmingham was particularly bad around that time, but it just feels so random and senseless. It’s like these incidents happen and leave such deep scars on communities. I genuinely hope someone comes forward with information that can help the police. It’s hard enough losing loved ones, but not having closure must be unbearable. My thoughts are with Kendall's and Ivey’s families, hoping that they find some peace and justice. Also, just sending some virtual support to those living in Birmingham who might be feeling uneasy with the ongoing violence. No one should have to live with that kind of fear.
