I was reading about Waymon Fowler's case, and I can't help but wonder about the role community ties might play in solving this tragedy. It's unsettling to think there could be people out there with information who haven't come forward yet. Fowler's murder occurred in a neighborhood that seemed tight-knit, at least according to some reports. It makes me think that someone must have seen something or noticed something unusual, even if it seemed minor at the time. I truly hope that anyone with even the slightest bit of information will find the courage to speak up. It's crucial for both justice for Waymon and the broader effort to tackle the violence affecting Birmingham in 2019. My thoughts are with his family—they deserve to find peace and closure.
