I’ve been following the unsolved case of Michael Toney Jr., and something really hit me when I was reading about it. This poor young man was only 23 and just leaving a house on Woodland Avenue SW when his life was cut short. It’s so senseless that this was the second drive-by shooting at the same location in just two years. What’s going on in that area that this kind of violence keeps happening? I can’t imagine the pain his family is going through, having forgiven the shooters yet still waiting for justice to be served. It’s so frustrating to hear that there have been no arrests yet. I really hope someone who knows something finds the courage to come forward. These incidents need to stop, and the community deserves to feel safe again. Anyone else concerned about the recurring violence in that neighborhood?
