Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the Bonita Morgan case, and something that's been bothering me is the role of the Dewitt Hotel staff. From what I've read, there hasn’t been much public information about their statements or involvement. Considering Bonita was thrown from a second-story window, it’s possible someone inside the hotel might have seen or heard something unusual that night.
I imagine the hotel wasn't very busy, given the time of year, and if Eugene Ferris was a drifter staying there, it's likely the staff had interacted with him. Did anyone witness odd behavior, or hear sounds of struggle? It seems like the kind of place where people might keep to themselves, but with such a violent crime occurring, you’d think there'd be more chatter.
If anyone here has relatives or knows someone who worked at or stayed in the Dewitt Hotel back in '79, any tidbit of information might be crucial. Bonita deserves justice, and her family and friends deserve answers. It’s sad to think such a tragic case continues to hang in limbo after all these years. Let’s hope renewed efforts can finally provide some closure.
I recently came across the tragic case of Bonita Raye Morgan, and one detail that stood out to me was the involvement of Eugene Ferris, the drifter who was arrested but never charged. It makes me wonder about the challenges investigators faced and continue to face in building a solid case. DNA technology has come a long way since 1979. Could old evidence be re-examined with newer methods to possibly link Ferris or another suspect to the crime? It's painful to think that Bonita's family has waited so long for answers. Does anyone know if Denver PD has done any recent testing on evidence from the scene? It would be encouraging to see this case get the renewed attention it deserves, for Bonita's sake and for her loved ones who deserve closure.
