I was just reading about the case of Billy Walker Powell Jr. and my thoughts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. It must be so hard not having answers or even someone held accountable for such a tragic loss. I keep wondering about how they discovered his body on that remote side of Bayview Lake, only reachable by boat. Do you think it's possible the location was chosen to make the recovery challenging? Or maybe it's a clue about how they got him there in the first place? The lack of any arrests has me frustrated and concerned, but I hope the continued efforts by the authorities and any new leads from the community can provide some answers soon. Anyone in the area notice anything unusual around that time?
Hi everyone,
I've been closely following the case of Billy Walker Powell Jr., whose body was found at Bayview Lake back in April 2019. I stumbled upon some maps of the area and was struck by how isolated that part of the lake is. It’s so eerie to think that whoever is responsible for this might have taken him there knowing it's only accessible by boat. I can’t help but wonder about the logistics of it all. Was this a well-planned act, or something that got out of hand and ended up at the lake somehow?
My heart goes out to Billy’s family and friends. I hope they find the answers they deserve soon. If there's anyone here familiar with the area, does it tend to be active with people around, or is it more off the beaten path?
Thanks for reading and discussing—hoping some new information can come to light soon.
Hey everyone,
I've been following the Billy Walker Powell Jr. case since it hit the news, and one thing that's been on my mind is the location where his body was found. Bayview Lake near Pleasant Grove is pretty secluded, especially the north side that's only accessible by boat. It makes me wonder if the perpetrator had local knowledge or some familiarity with the area. Maybe someone who knew it would be less likely for him to be discovered quickly? It's just so unsettling to think that someone could go through the lengths of transporting a body to such a remote spot. My heart goes out to Billy's family and friends—they deserve answers and justice. Does anyone in this forum know if there have been similar cases in the area over the years? Stay safe, folks.
