I’ve been following this case for a while, and one thing that really stands out to me is how random and senseless violence can affect anyone, at any time. Marvin Smith was just living his life—chatting outside a store, maybe thinking about his new business venture—and in an instant, everything changed. It’s so disheartening to think that his dreams and his positive spirit were cut short by someone else’s actions. My heart goes out to his family, especially since the shooter is still out there. It must be maddening not knowing when justice will be served. Hoping someone who might have seen something that day comes forward. Marvin sounds like someone who genuinely deserved the best life had to offer.

It's been nearly a decade since that awful day in Milwaukee, and my heart goes out to Marvin Smith's family during this difficult time of year. It’s so disturbing how an innocent visit to see his girlfriend turned into a tragedy. I can't stop thinking about how Marvin was on the brink of starting his landscaping business. His life was full of promise and potential, and it’s just so unjust that he wasn’t able to fulfill his dreams. It's stories like Marvin's that make me angry about the senselessness of gun violence. The fact that he wasn't even the intended target makes it even more devastating. Has there been any movement on catching the shooter, or is it still considered a cold case? This family deserves to see justice served for Marvin and to feel some semblance of peace. Sending prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy.
