Does anyone else feel like the lack of progress in Paul Cortez's case is incredibly frustrating? It's been over a decade, and it seems like we're no closer to answers than we were back in 2010. My heart goes out to his family and friends who must still be wondering why this happened to such a young man with his whole life ahead of him. Why is it that in some cases, time seems to stand still, and justice feels so elusive? I was driving near Bruce Randolph Avenue and York Street the other day, and I couldn't help but think about the night it all happened. It just seems so unfair that Paul's family hasn't seen justice yet. Hoping someone out there knows something and has the courage to speak up. Denver deserves better than to have this case remain cold.
I recently came across the cold case of Paul Cortez, and I can't stop thinking about his family. It must be so painful to not have answers after all these years. From what I've read, there were people around when the shooting occurred, which makes me wonder why no one's been able to come forward with more information. It's a busy intersection, and it happened at night, so I'd imagine at least one person saw more than they're saying. This isn’t just about solving a crime; it’s about getting justice for a young man who had his whole life ahead of him. For anyone local to Denver, maybe your neighborhood forum or community group would be a place to keep this conversation alive? Even the smallest detail could be what finally connects the dots.
