Hi everyone, I've been lurking here for a while, but felt compelled to share my thoughts on the Colin Demge case after attending the memorial at Studio 200. First off, my heart goes out to Colin's family and friends who are dealing with this overwhelming loss. From what I witnessed at the benefit, it was clear just how much Colin meant to this community. I was really struck by the outpouring of love and support. Everyone shared such beautiful memories, and it was evident that Colin's creativity touched so many lives. There were stories of collaborations that brought out his zest for life and art, but it’s tragic how his journey was cut short. This senseless act of violence is deeply concerning, not just for those who knew him but for the entire Riverwest neighborhood. Hearing the stories from neighbors who are now feeling anxious is heartbreaking. It’s a reminder of how fragile life can be and the importance of community strength in such times. I can only hope the increased awareness and support rallying around this case help the investigators find justice for Colin. Let’s continue to keep his memory alive and offer our support however we can. Stay safe, everyone.

I can’t stop thinking about Colin Demge and the impact he left on our community. It feels like the heart of Riverwest is missing since his tragic passing. As someone who had the chance to see him perform a few times, I can attest to the electrifying energy he brought to the stage. It was more than music; it was an experience of unity and creativity. I recently read about the memorial benefit that was held at Studio 200, and I'm just blown away by how many people rallied to support his family and celebrate his legacy. It’s truly a testament to how beloved he was, not only as a musician but as a friend and neighbor. I hope efforts like this bring some comfort to his loved ones, knowing how greatly Colin was admired and how genuinely his loss is being felt by so many. I also wanted to mention how upsetting it is that our neighborhood has been dealing with an increase in crime lately. It's unsettling, and it's times like these that we need to come together and support one another as much as possible. My thoughts are with Colin’s family, friends, and everyone who knew him during this incredibly difficult time. If anyone has information, I hope they come forward to help bring some answers.
