I can't stop thinking about the location of this tragedy. The Best Nights Inn on South Tacoma Way always seemed like such a busy area, even late at night. It makes me wonder if there were more potential witnesses to what happened to Derrell Lamont Sanders that night who might not have come forward. The fact that someone took his life in such a public space is so brazen. It's disturbing to think about how someone could commit such a violent act and vanish without a trace, even though the authorities attempted a K9 track. The thought of Derrell's family still waiting for answers after all these years weighs heavy on my mind. They deserve closure and justice for their loved one. Hoping someone, somewhere, finds the courage to share anything they know.
