I’ve always found the delay in securing the crime scene in Silas Calloway Sr.’s case to be incredibly frustrating, especially knowing it was initially thought to be a heart attack. It makes you wonder what vital evidence was overlooked or lost during those early stages. I can only imagine the pain and frustration his family must feel knowing this oversight potentially hindered solving the case. It must be so difficult not to have answers after all these years. I really hope that with the reopening of the case and the increased attention from the billboard, someone who knows something will finally step forward. Silas deserves justice, and his family deserves peace. Thoughts are very much with them as they continue this long fight for closure.
I just came across this case again after seeing the billboard on the Danville Bypass, and it's so frustrating that there's still no justice for Mr. Calloway after all these years. One thing that sticks with me is the initial misstep in the investigation. I understand mistakes happen, but the delay in recognizing it as a murder due to thinking it was a heart attack possibly cost valuable evidence. It's concerning how much might have been overlooked because of that early assumption. I'm hoping that with the case being reopened, someone remembers something or saw something back then that can finally bring answers. My thoughts are with Mr. Calloway's family, who have been waiting for closure far too long.
