It frustrates me deeply to think about Rodney Shelton's murder and how his family is still tirelessly seeking justice. I was reading about how these cases often leave a lasting impact on communities, and I can't help but wonder about the emotional toll on Rodney's loved ones. Losing someone so young to violence can leave a feeling of emptiness that never fully goes away. I feel particularly for the young woman who survived the attack. It must be incredibly difficult for her, knowing she was so close to such a tragedy. I often think about what kinds of memories or dreams she still wrestles with because of that night. It's another reminder of the senselessness of gun violence and how it robs communities of promising lives. I hope someone out there finds the courage to step forward and help bring some peace to Rodney's family. Thoughts with them all.
