I've been thinking a lot about the witness testimonies regarding the vehicle involved in Luis's tragic shooting. It's so distressing to consider how easily cars can blend in on a busy road, making it hard for anyone to pinpoint details in the heat of a moment. The mention of the white 1986 Mercury Grand Marquis with chrome wheels stands out to me, especially with how specific a car that is. They're just going about their day, driving on Redwood Road, and then suddenly, out of nowhere, they're in the middle of a nightmare. The quick thinking of the driver likely saved his own life, but I can’t imagine the panic he felt as he made that U-turn to get away from the gunfire. I hope he's found peace in the years since and has had a good support system around him. Also sending strength and love to Luis’s family—what a devastating loss. These senseless acts of violence leave such long-lasting impacts on everyone involved. Hoping someday justice is served for Luis.
