I've been following Sonia Mejia's case for a while and can’t shake off the thought of the neighbor who saw the man at her door. It must be incredibly tough living with the memory of that day, knowing they might have witnessed the killer's first approach. I wonder how that person's life has changed since then. Have they been able to find peace, or are they still haunted by the 'what ifs'? Sometimes, our lives cross paths with evil in the most unexpected ways, and it's unfair to carry the weight of those encounters. My thoughts go out to them, along with Sonia's family, as they continue to heal from this immense loss.

Has anyone else been following the astronomical amount of time it took to link Juan Antonio Arreola-Murillo to Sonia Mejia and Damiana Castillo's murders? I mean, the DNA connection was there, but it still took years to bring him to justice. Thank goodness for modern forensic technology, but it's baffling that these families had to wait so long for answers. It's like they were living through the same nightmare for over a decade. I can't imagine the strength Sonia’s husband and Damiana’s loved ones must have needed to endure such an extended period of uncertainty. Does anyone have more insights into the investigative process or if there were any roadblocks? It just has me wondering whether justice could've been swifter if different steps were taken.

Hey everyone, I've been following the "February 9 Killer" cases for a while now, and I wanted to share something that's been on my mind. Sonia Mejia's murder was so incredibly tragic, especially considering she was expecting. It's just hard to digest how someone could be so callous towards a life carrying another. I keep thinking about Sonia's husband and the unimaginable heartbreak he must have felt coming home to such devastation. It seems like such a small detail, but I can't shake the thought of how ordinary that day must have seemed at first—a normal routine, conversations, maybe even plans for the evening—before everything changed in an instant. It's moments like these, the simplicity of life being torn apart, that remind me of the randomness and cruelty of such acts. My heart goes out to her family, who lived with so many years of unanswered questions. I'm grateful they finally have some form of justice, although I know it can't erase the pain. How does everyone else process these types of details in true crime cases?
