It's been over six years since Gene Hammond's tragic murder, and I still can't shake the chilling image of his Subaru found abandoned so close to his home. It's baffling and terrifying to think that something so horrendous can happen when someone simply leaves for work in the quiet hours of the morning. It makes me wonder about the timeline that morning. Did someone target him specifically, or was it a crime of opportunity? I hope more witnesses come forward or someone remembers seeing or hearing something that could finally bring some clarity to Gene’s family. They deserve answers after all this time. While the reward has been available for a while, it seems like more efforts might be needed to jog people’s memories. Keeping the story alive in the local community might help someone step forward with the crucial piece of information. My thoughts are with Gene's family; I can't imagine the pain they've endured all these years.
