Was anyone else following the July 18 search near the Lehigh Station Trail Head? I'm baffled by how they used drones and ATVs in such a dense area but still didn't find anything related to Jeffrey Hoffere except his car. Given the high-tech resources available today, this seems unusual. Does anyone know if the area has a history of people going missing or of any tricky terrain that could complicate such searches? I can't help but wonder if everything that could be done has been done, or if there are other obstacles that make this case particularly challenging. Curious to hear your thoughts or any local insights you might have!
Hey everyone, I've been following the Jeffrey Hoffere case since it came to light, and one thing that keeps nagging at me is why it took so long for him to be reported missing. I mean, 17 days is a pretty long time. I wonder if there's any significance to the timing. Maybe his family thought he was just off on one of his solo trips or something? It just seems odd. I can't help but feel like there's something more to this story. What do y'all think could have caused the delay in reporting him missing?
Has anyone else noticed how the area around the Lehigh Station Trail Head is pretty dense and tricky to navigate? I used to hike around there back in my college days, and it's easy to get turned around if you're not familiar. I wonder if Jeffrey might have wandered further than intended and gotten disoriented. The fact that he was reportedly intoxicated makes me worry he might have underestimated the terrain or the distance. Not to mention, the terrain is fairly uneven and swampy in parts, especially if you venture off established trails. Could it be possible that the hammock was used as a temporary shelter while he tried to find his way back, or maybe it got left behind somewhere in the vast area? Wishing for answers and hoping for any breakthroughs from anyone who might have seen something unusual that morning.
