Has anyone considered the weather conditions on the day Arthur Allen and Moses Kahiapo went missing? I read somewhere that sudden storms can happen without much warning in that area around August. Could challenging weather have played a role in their disappearance? It just seems odd that their boat was found abandoned with no sign of either of them. I wonder if the Coast Guard reported any difficulties due to weather during their search. If anyone has more details on this aspect, it could be worth discussing.

Does anyone else find it odd how the boat was recovered but had no signs of distress or damage? It makes you wonder what could've happened that led to both Arthur and Moses disappearing without a trace. I know ocean conditions can be unpredictable, but it's strange there wasn't anything left behind to give us clues. Plus, the fishing gear wasn't reported as missing or scattered—it was all intact. Could it have been a freak wave incident or maybe something more sinister, like foul play? I haven't seen much info on weather reports from that day, but I'd be interested to know if anyone's dug into that angle. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I've been digging through some older missing persons cases and came across the mysterious disappearance of Arthur Allen and Moses Mailailua Kahiapo from 1972. Something that really piques my curiosity is the recovery of their boat. I mean, the boat was found abandoned at sea in October, over a month after they went missing. This has me wondering about its condition when it was found. Was there any gear missing or signs of a struggle on board? Could weather have played a part? It's puzzling that there were no other clues left behind. If anyone has insight into similar cases or theories on what might've happened, I'd love to hear your thoughts. This case really leaves a lot of questions open for speculation!
