Has anyone else been following the situation at Meridian Care where David was placed? It’s really troubling to hear about the neglect his mom described. It’s hard to imagine someone enduring all of that after already going through such trauma. I’ve read similar issues about neglected care in nursing homes, and it’s depressing that these places are supposed to be environments for healing. Residents deserve dignity and proper treatment.
Does anyone here have thoughts or more insight into how accountability is addressed in such cases? I can’t help but feel like Tammy’s pursuit of justice might inspire changes in how facilities are evaluated or sanctioned. It seems like such a steep uphill battle, but it’s incredibly brave of her to keep pushing for answers and change in the midst of her grief. I hope she can find some form of justice for David, both in terms of the shooting and the care he received afterward.
I've been following David Koah's case and I'm at a loss over the conditions he endured at the nursing home. It's deeply unsettling to hear Tammy's account of the neglect he faced at Meridian Care. How is it possible that someone who is already so vulnerable due to their injuries can be treated with such disregard? We need to shine a light on these systemic issues within caregiving facilities. No one should have to worry about their loved ones being neglected when they are supposed to be receiving care. My heart goes out to Tammy and the rest of David's family. It's important to keep the pressure on both the investigation of his shooter and the care facility to ensure that justice is served on all fronts. ?️
