I was reading up on Wesley Keene's case and something struck me about the timing of everything. It's so unsettling to think that he was working to keep the place safe on a weekend meant for celebration and community. The idea that he left a voicemail to a friend right before his life was taken is chilling. I can't even imagine the weight of receiving a message like that, only to find out later that something was terribly wrong. Tyderrian Deleon Duffield being arrested years later shows how patient and persistent investigations can take time, but justice eventually connects the dots. That must have been a surreal moment for both the investigators and Keene’s family when Duffield was finally charged in 2021. My thoughts are with Wesley's loved ones—waiting for answers for so long must have been incredibly difficult. It serves as a reminder of how fragile and precious life is, and I hope they find some closure through the legal process.
