I can't stop thinking about the brave soul of Hatem Abuharbed, or "Tim" as his friends and customers fondly called him. While I didn’t know him personally, it’s clear from the community’s response that he was cherished by many. The fact that he lost his life simply doing his job is just beyond upsetting. One aspect that’s been on my mind is how easy it is to forget the risks that convenience store employees face every day. These individuals are often alone at night, with little protection, and it just seems incredibly unfair. Tim's case really highlights how we need to do more as a society to protect them. It’s heartbreaking to think that such a friendly face is no longer around because of such a senseless act of violence. I really hope someone comes forward with information to help solve this case. Tim deserves justice, and so does his family.
