I can't stop thinking about the devastating impact this has had on the children who were in the car during the incident. They’ve not only lost both their parents in a horrific and violent manner, but they also had to witness it firsthand. I just can’t imagine the trauma they’re going to carry from this moment forward. It’s heartbreaking to think about how deeply these experiences can scar someone so young. It’s also incredibly frustrating, knowing that Blanca had taken steps to protect herself and her children by obtaining the emergency protective order. It just goes to show how much more needs to be done to protect those in these situations. My heart goes out to the entire family, especially the kids. I hope they’re getting the support they need from loved ones and professional counselors to cope with this tragedy.
