Rodolfo Vargas, aged 48, was involved in a tragic murder-suicide on November 2, 2016, in Fort Worth, Texas. Vargas shot and killed his wife, Blanca Vargas, while she sat in her car before taking his own life. The incident took place in front of several of their children, who were in the vehicle and witnessed the entire scene. The family was reportedly on their way to drop the children off at school when the shooting occurred on Ryan Avenue.
Blanca had recently obtained an emergency protective order against Rodolfo following a history of domestic abuse, including an incident in September where Rodolfo was arrested for assaulting her. The abuse had been ongoing for years, with one of the couple’s adult sons confirming that they had witnessed multiple episodes of violence throughout their childhood. Tragically, despite the protective order, Rodolfo confronted Blanca, leading to the fatal shooting.
