I’ve been following Moira Bossard’s case, and something that’s been on my mind is the critical role that community support can play during these types of emergencies. Living in an area prone to hurricanes, I've seen firsthand how challenging it can be for seniors or those with limited support networks during evacuations. It’s concerning that Moira didn’t get assistance when she was already showing signs of confusion. I think it’s crucial for neighbors and local communities to keep an eye out and perhaps even coordinate with shelters to make sure everyone is accounted for, especially the elderly. It could really make a difference. Does anyone know if there are initiatives already in place in Florida or elsewhere that focus on this? Would love to hear thoughts or examples of similar situations and how they were handled!

Has anyone else noticed how the situation with Moira Bossard emphasizes the importance of staying alert about our neighbors' wellbeing, especially during emergencies like hurricanes? It’s troubling how she seemed confused in the days leading up to her disappearance, yet there wasn’t a Silver Alert issued. I understand she didn’t have a formal diagnosis, but maybe there should be some flexibility in such protocols for cases like hers. This tragedy really makes me think about how we, as a community, need to watch out for each other, particularly for our elderly neighbors who might be vulnerable in these situations.
