I’ve been following the investigation into the tragic deaths of Osmani Munongerwa and his mother, Isha Musa, and I can’t help but feel for their family. I recently read about the increase in violence in Nashville during 2017, and it’s disheartening to see how this senseless act of violence is part of that troubling trend. One thing that keeps bothering me is the timeline. If the family heard what might have been gunshots between 9 and 10 a.m., why did it take until 1:45 p.m. to discover what happened? I'm not placing blame on anyone—far from it. Just trying to wrap my mind around how something like this could happen in broad daylight. My thoughts are with their loved ones as they navigate this difficult time. I hope the ongoing investigation brings them the answers and justice they deserve.
