Death by Force

On July 23, 2017, 20-year-old Black male Osmani Munongerwa and his 37-year-old mother, Isha Musa, were found fatally shot in their apartment at the Park at Hillside complex on Hillside Avenue in Nashville, Tennessee. Family members discovered Musa deceased on the lower level and Munongerwa upstairs. Musa, a Somali immigrant, had been preparing for her American citizenship exam at the time of her death.
