Hey everyone, I was going through Gloria Jean Baird's case again and something just keeps bugging me. Did anyone ever follow up on the men she was last seen with at that party? I mean, it's clear from what we've been able to gather that it was the last time anyone saw her, and I can't find any info on whether these guys were looked into. Were they fellow service members, or did anyone actually get descriptions or names? The fact that her car was just abandoned makes me wonder if maybe they weren't from Atlanta at all. Maybe someone out there remembers something small but crucial. It's been so long, I just hope we can find some new angles to explore.
Has anyone else noticed how odd it is that Gloria's car was found abandoned but there seemed to be no effort to follow up on where she might have gone after that? I'm honestly curious if any witnesses from that party or folks who saw her car have been located again. It was New Year's Eve, and I know people would have been out and about, possibly partying themselves, so it's baffling to me that no one potentially saw something more. Were there any reports from residents nearby, or did LE canvass that area thoroughly? After all these years, it's hard to believe no other bits of information have popped up. Maybe it's time to go back to square one and re-interview anyone who lived in the area at the time or even their descendants who might have heard stories. Sometimes, revisiting the past can hold new clues. Would love to hear if anyone has insights or thoughts on this.
