It's truly difficult to grasp how anyone could witness something as horrific as what happened to Thomas Nevills and choose to remain silent. I can't imagine the pain his family must be experiencing, knowing that people held on to crucial evidence on their phones without stepping up. It seems so heartless. I understand the fear that could come with involving oneself in a police investigation, but how can we expect justice if everyone holds back out of self-preservation? With Slone and Higgins arrested, I'm hoping the police can untangle any other mysteries surrounding this case. It makes you wonder what exactly motivated the assault and if there were any prior connections between the victim and these suspects. It’s a scary thought that something as random as being in the wrong place at the wrong time could lead to such tragedy. I genuinely hope that these arrests bring some semblance of peace to the Nevills family, and perhaps more bystanders will feel encouraged to come forward and help paint the full picture of that night.
