Has anyone else found it strange that Benita's purse was discovered on the University of Oregon campus? It's a bit out of the way from Sacred Heart General Hospital. I wonder if she knew someone in that area or if it could have been planted by someone else. The time of night it was found is also odd—it doesn't add up. This was during a time when there weren't surveillance cameras everywhere, so who knows what might have happened between the hospital visit and the purse being found. Just strikes me as odd that it was left out in the open like that. Thoughts?
I was reading about the case of Benita Chamberlin, and something odd struck me about where her car and belongings were found. Her purse being left in a lot on the University of Oregon campus, and the car ditched at a Coca-Cola plant nearby, seems oddly specific, almost like someone was hoping they wouldn't be connected or seen as suspicious. Given that she had just received good news about her baby and was likely planning to return home soon, why would her car end up miles from the hospital like that? Was she meeting someone in between, or does it suggest someone else was involved who might have been familiar with the area?
Also, with her in the midst of a divorce and her two other kids living with her estranged husband, I can't help but wonder if there’s any significance to these locations. Did she have any ties to the university campus or the bottling plant, or could it be that the person responsible had connections there? It feels like there’s something just out of reach that might explain why her things were left where they were. Would love to hear others' thoughts on this angle.
