I recently came across Benjamin Sjoberg's case and was struck by the stunning contrast between his adventurous spirit and the eerie quiet surrounding his disappearance. Has anyone delved into what his typical hiking routes were on Kauai and Niihau? Given how much he loved exploring, I wonder if he might have ventured somewhere off the beaten path that wasn't part of the main search. Maybe there are areas of the islands that are less traversed or known only to locals? I'm thinking if there's a spot he frequently visited or talked about, it could be crucial for any ongoing search efforts. Would love to hear thoughts from anyone familiar with the local terrain or the hiking community there.
Did anyone else find it curious how little emphasis was placed on the canoe rental place he visited just before disappearing? Benjamin was reportedly seen there on his last day, right? Considering his love for exploration and the fact that kayak trips between the islands are known for presenting some real challenges, I'm surprised there isn't more discussion around this angle. Could it be possible that an accident happened on the water, or maybe there was an encounter with someone who might know more? I know authorities looked into all possibilities, but I feel like the ocean itself, or any associated activities, holds some vital clues that might have been overlooked. Maybe we need more focus on that part of the coastline or speak to anyone who might have rented equipment around that time. Just a thought... anyone know more?
