Steven Reeves, a 29-year-old fisherman, was last seen on January 8, 1999, while working on the vessel *Cape Fear* in Buzzards Bay, off the coast of Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The *Cape Fear* encountered severe weather conditions with high seas and strong winds as it was returning to New Bedford with a large catch of clams.
