I've been following the tragic case of Thomas Bellmon, and one thing that keeps coming up in discussions is the overwhelming silence from potential witnesses. It's so frustrating because you know there are people out there with pieces of the puzzle. Given Philadelphia's climate back then with rising crime rates, I can understand why some might have been hesitant to come forward; fear of retaliation was probably very real. Still, I can’t help but think about Thomas’s family—how do you even begin to move forward without answers? It must be like living in a constant state of limbo. For anyone local, are there community organizations or efforts trying to rebuild trust and encourage witness testimony for unsolved cases like this? It feels like there's got to be a way to get justice for Thomas and others who’ve suffered similarly.
