In May of 2007, the body of 25-year-old Thomas Bellmon was discovered by a jogger on a Monday morning in Philadelphia. He was found on Fisher's Lane, situated between the Fisher's Glen driving range and the Juniata Golf Course. An investigation revealed that Bellmon, a Black male, had been killed by five shotgun blasts. At the time of his death, he was a resident of the 3400 block of Tampa Street in North Philadelphia and was the 149th homicide victim in the city that year.
