Hey everyone, it's been a while since I last checked in here. I stumbled upon Richard Pearson's memorial on Find a Grave recently, and it really hit home just how many lives were touched—and changed—by his death. The outpouring of love and memories from his friends and family there is both comforting and tragic. You can tell he was truly cherished. It got me thinking about how, despite the years that pass, the void left by such senseless violence never really goes away for those who loved him. I can't help but wonder what more we, as a community, could be doing to support these families—especially in a city that was grappling with so much violence back then. Does anyone here have thoughts on what initiatives or programs might actually make a difference in helping families like Richard’s find some peace? Sending love and strength to all who knew him.
