Something that's been on my mind about Courtney Marcher’s case is the condition of her surfboard. The fact that the leash was severed makes me wonder a lot about what could have happened. It’s so puzzling that tests on the board and leash were inconclusive. Could the severed leash imply that something happened that wasn't just a simple accident? I’ve read sea debris or sharp coral could damage a leash, but the uncertainty is frustrating. It's scary to think about the ocean's unpredictability, especially someone with a medical condition. I hope that someday we’ll have more definitive answers about what happened out there. Does anyone know how common it is for surf leashes to break like that?
