Maria Guadalupe Barrientos, aged 43, was last seen on June 6, 1994, in Sugarland, Texas. She worked as a nanny and left her job that evening but never returned home. Maria’s daughter and son-in-law, who lived with her at the time, reported her missing five days later. Despite their claims that Maria had left home after an argument, suspicions arose when her car was found abandoned in Houston on June 30, with bloodstains inside the vehicle.
