Hey everyone, I came across Carl Butler Jr.'s case again, and there's one detail that keeps me puzzled—the open back door his wife found at 6 a.m. after he vanished. I mean, given his fragile state after surgery, why would he venture out in the middle of the night like that? I keep thinking, was someone there with him who might have convinced him to leave or perhaps even escorted him out? It's weird because someone in his condition would surely have trouble maneuvering on their own, especially at night. No personal items, no medicine, and especially with a feeding tube—it's almost like he planned to return or didn't plan this at all. Anyone else have thoughts on whether he might've had a visitor that night or another reason that explains the open door? It’s truly baffling.
Has anyone ever connected the dots about Carl Butler Jr.'s disappearance with the time of year? February can be so unpredictable with weather, especially in North Carolina. Could the weather conditions have played a role? I mean, it was said that an off-duty cop saw him early in the morning, around dawn. If he was already in a fragile condition and possibly disoriented post-surgery, maybe the cold or precipitation added to his confusion or worsened his health. I can't help but wonder if there's more to explore there—or if witnesses from that early morning hours might have seen something out of the ordinary but forgot to report it. Sometimes the smallest details can make the biggest difference. Thoughts?
I was just reading up on Carl Butler Jr.'s case and something struck me about the timing of his disappearance. His wife mentioned the back door was open at 6 a.m., and an off-duty officer saw him around the same time near Meadowbrook and Vermin. Given Carl's medical condition, it's puzzling how he could have covered that distance so quickly. Is there any chance the open door could indicate someone else's involvement, like maybe someone helping or coercing him? It's a stretch, but it might explain the speed. Has anyone looked into possible camera footage in the neighborhood or traffic cams that might have caught him or someone else during this timeframe?
