Carl Butler Jr., a 56-year-old man from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, disappeared on February 1, 2005, under mysterious circumstances. Butler, who had recently undergone surgery for a brain aneurysm, was last seen at his home on Marlee Drive by his wife around 2 a.m. Authorities believe he left the residence sometime between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., though no clear reason has been established for why he left.
