In the early morning hours of February 1, 2005, a 56-year-old man named Carl Butler vanished from his home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. His wife reported last seeing him at their residence on the 700 block of Marlee Drive around 2:00 a.m. watching television. By 6 a.m., she discovered the back door open and her husband gone.
