Has anyone looked into the weather conditions the night Salvatore disappeared? I know it sounds a bit out there, but considering he left without shoes or a jacket, I'm wondering if it was particularly cold or if there were any storms that could have disoriented him further. Sometimes those little details can give us clues about his state of mind or where he might have tried to go to seek shelter. Given his limited English skills and mental development, it’s heartbreaking to think about how confused he must have been. Also, does anyone know if the local community or nearby neighborhoods organized any searches back then? Would be interesting to see if any coordinated efforts led to places that are noteworthy, even after all these years. Any insight or ideas appreciated!

Has anyone else found it strange that Salvatore left without his shoes? Especially considering it was November in Connecticut—definitely not the time of year you'd step outside barefoot. Makes me wonder if something spooked him so badly that he didn't have time to grab them, or if he was just so disoriented. I can't help but think his severe headaches had something to do with it. It must have been terrifying for someone with limited mental capacity and language skills. I remember reading somewhere that he was scheduled for a doctor's appointment around that time. Could anxiety have contributed to an impulsive decision? It's baffling that there were no traces or sightings after he left. If anyone out there has forgotten details or remembers anything about those days, it would mean everything to his family, even after all this time.

Hello everyone, I’ve been deep-diving into Salvatore Rafala's case recently, and something keeps gnawing at me. Did anyone else notice the bit about him leaving without his shoes or a jacket? Given he’d just moved to the U.S., was it possible that Salvatore misunderstood something about weather or clothing? November in Connecticut can be pretty cold, especially for someone not used to the climate. This man barely spoke English and had the mind of a child; it seems possible he might not have realized the critical need for warm clothes. Living in a new country where everything is unfamiliar must have been daunting, especially if he was already anxious about his doctor’s appointment. Was it possible he might have been trying to go somewhere that felt safe to him but simply didn't understand how far or difficult the journey might be barefoot and unprepared for the weather? Have there been any searches conducted specifically thinking he might seek out a place that reminded him of Italy or wherever he felt comfortable? It’s such a perplexing case—so many “what ifs”... Would love to hear your thoughts on this angle.
