Hey everyone, I was diving back into the David Edward Williams and Steven Anderson case, and I can't stop thinking about the protective helmet David was wearing when he vanished. I mean, it's such a distinct piece of clothing. You'd think it would stand out to anyone who might have seen him. Did the authorities investigate whether someone found it in the area and just dismissed it as an unrelated item? It's these small things that really make me wonder about what might have been missed. Also, what about people who might have lived near the school back then—have any of their stories evolved over the years? Maybe there are untapped memories or bits of information that could help? Curious to see what everyone else thinks!
Hey everyone,
I was reading up on the David Edward Williams and Steven Anderson case from back in '75, and something's been puzzling me. I wonder if anyone else has thoughts on this: given that David had epilepsy and needed his medication daily, wouldn't he have needed help from someone familiar with his condition if he was alive for any time after disappearing?
It’s intriguing how despite the massive search efforts and attention from the FBI, there were no evident signs of the boys. There was talk of them walking back to the residence alone, but would David have managed without his meds, especially in a new or stressed environment? Could there have been someone involved who knew about his medical needs? It seems likely they would try to seek help as the days passed, right?
Would love to hear any theories or if anyone has come across similar cases where medical needs played a crucial role. Thanks for any insights!
Stay safe out there.
I was reading about David Edward Williams and Steven Anderson, and I've been thinking about the timing of their disappearance. They were last seen around 4:15 p.m., which seems like such a busy time at a facility like New Lisbon State School. I'm curious about how they managed to leave without anyone noticing. Was supervision really that lax back then, or did something more sinister happen? Given David's need for epilepsy medication and Steven being older, I wonder how they planned their day-to-day survival without that critical support. The vast search efforts make it seem like they couldn't have gotten far on their own, especially considering David's medical needs. It’s so baffling there were no traces at all. Anyone else have thoughts on how they might have just vanished?
