Has anyone else thought about the anonymous phone calls and how they fit into Gayla Schaper's disappearance? The thing that gets me is the timing. Starting months before she vanished, then just stopping, except for the ones to Gayla's mom afterward. Whoever made those calls was methodical enough to sustain them over a period but vanished just like Gayla did after she went missing. It seems weird to me that someone would go to the trouble of making those calls, including the creepy note, and then nothing comes of it that investigators can trace. Could they have been meant as some kind of psychological warfare, perhaps? And what about the calls to her mother afterward? It's like they were designed to confuse or torment. Makes you wonder if there was more information in those calls that we just don't know. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this angle.

I’ve been diving into Gayla Christine Schaper’s case, and one detail I find super intriguing is the mysterious calls and note they got before her disappearance. Has anyone looked into whether these could have been linked to a specific person or group? I mean, “You have sold out to Satan” is such a strange message. It seems almost like something out of a bad movie about cults or something. Could her case have been connected to any local groups or individuals with odd beliefs? I’m wondering if anything more came out about the origin of those calls. It feels like a potential lead, but I don’t see much discussion on it. Curious if anyone here has heard more or has thoughts on this angle.
