I’ve been digging into Florence Doolittle’s case and there’s something that keeps gnawing at me. Has anyone else noticed how odd it is that her Datsun was found in Charlotte, quite a ways from Greensboro? It’s about a 90-mile drive, and it doesn’t seem like there was any reason for her to be in Charlotte, at least not that’s been reported. I wonder if she had any connections there or if it was just a random choice by whoever parked her car. And the birthday card for her granddaughter left behind... Could it have been staged to make it seem like she just up and left, or did she plan to keep traveling but something went awry in Charlotte? I’d love to hear if anyone else has thoughts on this or knows more about her ties to Charlotte.
