Mauro Elias Escobar, a 21-year-old from Houston, Texas, was last seen on April 16, 2004, at a Wendy’s restaurant in the Greenspoint Mall area. He was with two companions, Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez and Silvia Perez. The group was traveling in a blue or gray 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe, which was later found abandoned and stripped in a wrecking yard in Humble, Texas, a few days after their disappearance.
Mauro and Jose had been planning to buy farm equipment, with Gonzalez reportedly carrying a large amount of cash at the time. All three individuals vanished that day and have not been heard from since. Authorities suspect foul play in their disappearance, but the case remains unsolved. Mauro was described as 5'10" tall, weighing around 300 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
